As Image Consultants, Sterling Media are the international publicists for notable and emerging personalities be they film stars, music artists and authors, to distribution and production companies. We work with talent on an ongoing basis or around specific projects. We identify the positioning of a star to define their brand persona before catapulting them on to a world stage, creating the connect between them and their fans. We have developed incisive communication strategies to increase fan following on social media platforms to generating stand out media coverage to protecting talent profiles during times of crisis.
Al Pacino
We brought Al Pacino to London, leading on the fundraising, communication strategy, marketing and event management for his acclaimed “one-man” show in London, An Evening with Al Pacino at the London Palladium. A new concept show for UK shores, we devised a ticket sales led PR strategy resulting in the tickets for the show selling out in 24 hours. Our partnership with Al Pacino further extended to the publicity for his valued production Wilde Salome, an American documentary-drama film written, directed by and starring Al Pacino. An exploration of Oscar Wilde’s play Salomé, the film premiered at the 68th Venice International Film Festival. It had its European premiere at the BFI London where a nationwide multi-media screening was organized.

Sterling Media is the global publicist for India’s most idolised and bankable star, developing strategies for various projects across international media such as in LA Times to New York Times, BBC to CNN International, The Times to The Guardian, Newsweek Magazine to TIME.
Shah Rukh Khan
Recognised as one of the most high profile Indian film stars internationally, we were behind securing Shah Rukh Khan’s first interview with “The Times”, a 600-word column on his 2003 release Swades. We then followed this up with a full page for Om Shanti Om and then double page spread for Don 2. We also managed the international communications for his first Leicester Square red carpet film premiere for Om Shanti Om, resulting in standout coverage in BBC News to CNN International.
Amitabh Bachchan
The Godfather of Indian cinema and the star of the Millennium by a BBC poll, we have worked with Mr Amitabh Bachchan on a number of his releases. He was also the first Indian film celebrity in recent time to have featured on the Jonathan Ross Show. We were the preferred consultancy to heighten awareness of his Olympic Torch Relay, generating global media coverage worldwide.
Shilpa Shetty
We managed Shilpa Shetty’s profile post her appearance on Big Brother, carefully developing a strategic plan that transitioned her from a tabloid star to a broadsheet favourite. Our work included amplifying a number of her ventures – from the launch of her best selling perfume to yoga DVD. Shilpa was also the first Indian film star in recent years to feature on This Morning and BBC One’s The One Show, a first for Indian cinema and talent.
Deepika Padukone
We were the international communications team to introduce Deepika Padukone’s profile to global shores at the start of her career. From front-page coverage in national media such as Metro to positioning interviews on news networks such as BBC to SKY, we led the communications for her first two red carpet premieres in Leicester Square. 10 years on, we managed the communications campaign for her debut US film role alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.
Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan has established his profile as a social reformer of modern India. We have led the international publicity for two of his most acclaimed ventures – 3 Idiots and Dangal. From managing his interviews, storytelling around the film narratives – from the importance of finding one’s purpose to gender equality – to ensuring major media have the opportunity to review his titles, Sterling has helped to solidify Aamir Khan’s profile as amongst the most high profile stars of India. Salma Hayek
We organised for leading Hollywood actress and woman empowerment champion Salma Hayek to participate in GEMS Education’s Global Teacher Prize Award, which awards a $1mn prize to a teacher. From coordinating her entire stay and travel to managing her activities at the event, Sterling took the lead to ensure all critical paths regarding her participation were taken account of.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
We have worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for a range of high profile projects which have generated major acclaim and global publicity. We have managed publicity strategies during her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival for various films, we have organised red carpet premieres and full scale publicity plans for films such as Raavan which premiered at the BFI to Provoked in Leicester Square. We strategically generated national media attention for Provoked, based on the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a victim of domestic abuse. After her unjust imprisonment she ultimately freed by the judicial system in a landmark case called R v Ahluwalia, redefining provocation in cases of battered women in the UK.

We were engaged by Anil Kapoor to manage his profile during the release of Slumdog Millionaire and the film’s festival strategy. From securing positioning media coverage in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, BBC News, Channel 4 News, ITV News to high profile appearances on shows such as BBC HardTalk to Sir David Frost’s Frost Over the World on A Jazeera, we ensured Anil Kapoor’s profile achieved national attention.
